In this era of AI dominance, the challenge to eliminate bias from machine learning algorithms is indeed a massive one. Anthropic’s innovative yet simple solution definitely has its charm, and itβs interesting to see technology giants acknowledging the importance of this issue, deriving techniques from humanistic dimensions for the rectification of machine behavior. However, I have to nod in agreement with the skeptics here. I can’t help but question the efficacy of this solution: Can asking an AI ‘nicely’ really eradicate deeply ingrained biases?
